Imagine a container which can produce clean water, electricity, heat as well as cold and can be quickly flown to disaster areas such as earthquaked Haiti, disaster areas in Africa or red mud covered areas in Hungary. That is what scientists and students at The Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, are developing at the moment.
“The students at KTH are currently working around the clock on the container named Rescue Module. In six months a detailed proposal will be presented, which will contain drawings, technical specifications and a description of how it can be implemented”, says Victoria Martin, Lecturer and Programme Coordinator for the Master programme SELECT.
